damage done book summary
Fellow illustrates the atrocious and inhumane attitudes of the guards as such maltreatment would easily lead to death. But then again, do we know if that was the first time? God. I don't think it's even close to We Were Liars. A guard came towards Fellow and gave him a ‘bowl of soup and fish bones’. Of all the drug smuggling, banged - up - abroad type books I've read (and there's been a lot) this is one of the best. Warren wrote a straight to the point, one dimensional account of his experience - and it still receives a wealth of praise from both sides of the drug-debate fence. This was it and it reignited a passion in me for reading.. Couldn't put it down, cover to cover in 8 hrs.. One of the greatest books I have read. Thanks to Random House Children's and NetGalley.). Was it Ryan? This book is about Warren Fellows, an Australian man who tried to smuggle heroin from Thailand to Australia, but he got caught. I cannot go too deeply into the plot of the story, as that may give away some of the thrill of actually reading the book. But that event takes place BEFORE this story starts. He described about how the prison was like and how the prisoners were treated in the prison. This in no way impacted on my view. This thriller has plenty of potential, I even liked the romance between Julia and the male lead, he was adorable and I was smiling with their conversations.
This book was OK. I finished this book cover to cover in one night because I literally could not put it down-- and that rarely happens with me. This tale of filthy conditions and uncaring guards all mixed up in a foreign land allow for a horrific page turner. ’ Everything was unclean and unpleasant, including the food that was provided. Every morning prisoners were taken outside for five minutes to have a quick refreshing shower, however the water that was given was unclean and contaminated. The sheer disregard for human suffering and the extent of the brutality is unbelievable. This was a pretty good YA thriller. This may be the best book i've listened to all year. He was sent to Bang Kwang Prison and he had to spend 12 years in prison. As there were too many people in a cell, ‘it stank of wounds and sweats’. I still never really picked up on how the big reveal would turn out until it was revealed. Fellow outlines the prison as claustrophobic due to a large number of prisoners being locked up together in a small cell. This book was crazy! Nobody knows who Lucy really is and finally she's starting to have a normal life again. MIND. Book is fast paced hard to put down! 4000 Days is a good story but it is told in past tense instead of story form. Julia has a new name, and lives in a new town, but when she notices someone following her, her past life isn't in the past for long. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. Julia was the only one who walked out alive, but she doesn't remember what really happened.
Let’s compromise on, A shockingly true story of two aussies jailed for drug trafficking in Bangkok in 1978 for 12 years.Whether they deserved it or not is besides the point. I won't comment much more on this subject other than to say that things are not always as they seem. Ironically he becomes an addict himself during his time behind bars. Anyone who reads this account and feels justice was done isn't human.
