The writing is well done (if brutal), and the acting excellent. Apparently viewing figures were only around half a million for it so the decision was made to not renew it. If you liked "Deadwood" you might like "Damnation." The show has been off to a great start and I can't wait to see how the story line progresses. I watched it from the start, and I was very disappointed when it didn’t come back on.. The character development drives the story. I’m in Australia and loved Season 1, was looking forward to at least the 2 season, it’s all about money, not what the people want. I think it will work well in countries like Germany too, where many people can understand the points the creators are trying to pass through.
