My only complaint about Belltown is the unsavory characters that often congregate in the neighborhood, but for the most part I always feel relatively safe. It’s a city that feels more like a small town and in our opinion, the perfect jumping off point for folks wanting to get their toes wet in Washington. Woodenville has over 110 Wineries (including Chateau Ste Michelle) for you oenophiles out there. The homes and common areas on Woodridge Hill are well maintained. There are numerous programs that provide relief, but still so many end up on the streets. Furthermore, there are great recreational facilities in the area as well, which allowed me to be heavily involved within the community growing up. 1. Don’t think any nightlife here. It still is. This is unincorporated king County so taxes are lower than the city, mostly private septic so less expensive as you are not paying monthly sewer bill/ capacity charges.
